Florence from Paris, France

Very cool portrait of a musician. A lot of things (as far as art is concerned, seem to happen in Detroit). A nice way to ward off bad luck ?

15 Apr 2011 1:27pm

@Florence: Florence, I know that Detroit is famous for building automobiles, but for what reason the city is full of very talented and creative people. It seems that if you are not a painter or sculptor, then you are a writer or poet, photographer or film maker, or perhaps a musician MC or DJ. There are even a select few that claim to be all of the above. Yes the arts are very much alive and thriving here in Detroit.

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Fantastic. A beautiful moment of breathing out the notes, with a great angle to catch the bell of the horn and most of the fingering. Jazz is a sublime musical art form.

You always catch the passion and spirit of your subjects. This is no exception. The tones in this are the closest to film I've seen in a while. Beautiful.
