Mission Statement:
To document the city in an attempt to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the uniqueness of Detroit, her buildings, and her people.

I first photographed Oscar at a labor day parade a few years ago. http://313.aminus3.com/image/2010-09-07.html It is one of my favorite portraits and it won an award when I exhibited it in a show entitled 'Working Class Heroes'.
The above photo was taken a few weeks ago during a rally to stop bank foreclosures. It was inspirational and moving to see Oscar marching again for a cause he believes in. Keep marching Oscar, may the road rise up to meet you.

Speramus meliora; resurget cineribus.
We hope for better things; it will arise from the ashes.

A very nice tribute to this man who is giving his energy to make a difference, which we cannot say for everyone in a world rife with apathy. Kudos to you both.

This is a beautiful portrait, Ralph! It is so wonderful to see that there are those out there who remain true to themselves and their convictions. What a brave soul. He definitely knows the power of one within the power of all. Absolutely excellent!
