1949 Caddy

Posted by
Ralph Jones (Detroit, United States) on 29 February 2012 in Transportation and Portfolio.

I spent some time at Autorama this past weekend, and fell in love with this 1449 Cadillac. This car was the first Cadillac to be produced after car production halted during World War II, the time Detroit became known as "The Arsenal of Democracy".

Mission Statement:
To document the city in an attempt to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the uniqueness of Detroit, her buildings, and her people.

Speramus meliora; resurget cineribus.
We hope for better things; it will arise from the ashes.

Wide angle fits well cars ! What a fantastic brand ! With all these lights reflecting on the bonnet, it looks like it has been painted with pitches !

The lights create a wonderful star-like atmosphere in this shot Ralph! I would suggest that if it was really a 1449 vehicle it would be absolutely priceless! ;-))
