Superb Ralph, just superb...Yes,we have lost another master pianist as well...Thelonius wrote and performed this song as you know,,, WHen our son and his beautiful bride were married some years ago, this is the song (Epistrophy) that they chose to be played as they were introduced at their reception. Listening to the beautiful recording of Monk being played over the speakers and gazing upon my fine son and his beautiful (in oh so many ways) wife, I was simply a basket case for several minutes...So,Thank you for this.. Andnd yes, thanks to Dave Bribeck as well...a different style, but a man who helped me, as a young kid, to really love Jazz and realize it's beauty, significance, intracacies, heart, soul, and spirit....and history! Thank you Ralph for ALL of these reminders and messages that you provide us with every one of your images ! Hugs - dj;
