92 year old Marshall Allen leading the Sun Ra Arkestra.
I've been fortunate to have seen this band many times since my first experience in the early 80's. Marshall Allen joined the Arkestra in the mid-1950's and has been acting as the bands director since 1993 the year after founder Sun Ra died. I'm such a fan that I can honestly say that if the Arkestra was playing within 75 miles I was somewhere in the audience so I'm kind of an expert and I'm of the opinion that Maestro Allen has better chops at age 92 than he 30 years ago.
